Our Centre participated in the event held in Beştepe National Congress and Culture Centre within the scope of ‘International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women’
In the event organised by the Ministry of Family and Social Services under the auspices of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş shared information about the activities of the Ministry within the scope of combating violence against women in 2024 and policy topics for 2025.
In his speech here, President Erdoğan wished God`s mercy to those who lost their lives in acts of violence against women and patience to their families and relatives.
President Erdoğan conveyed his condolences to all women who have been directly or indirectly subjected to violence, who have suffered pain and distress, who have shared this grave situation, which is a great breaking point for every woman, and expressed that as a husband, father and President, he will always stand by all women in Turkey and in the world in their struggle to protect their honour and their right to live in dignity.
In the event, where the directors of women and family studies application and research centres of different universities were also invited, our director Prof.Dr. Zuhal Yonca Odabaş exchanged information about joint studies with other centre directors.
