Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bekir Yıldırım, a faculty member at the Faculty of Islamic Sciences at Çankırı Karatekin University, held a seminar on “sensitivity” for parents at Refik Saydam Elementary School as part of the Maarif Model Family Conferences.

During the seminar, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yıldırım emphasized the importance of sensitivity awareness in both individual and social life, noting that the understanding of sensitivity developed within the family plays a decisive role in the formation of children’s character. He particularly stressed that parents’ attitudes and behaviors are of great importance in instilling values such as empathy, respect, and responsibility.

Noting that raising sensitive individuals contributes to strengthening social harmony and solidarity, Yıldırım stated that families serving as role models for their children is indispensable in this process. He also noted that topics such as social awareness and environmental sensitivity have become part of sensitivity education in today’s society.

The program concluded after the parents’ questions were answered. It was noted that the seminar, which was followed with great interest by the participants, contributed to increasing awareness within families.
